Front Range Open Space Software Testing Conference

a conference created by testers for testers about testing

There are many conferences available to software testers -- conferences centered around presentations. Although they are called conferences, many of these fail to encourage conferring. FROSST's goal is to support software testers through community-building. FROSST facilitates discussion of testing experiences, ideas, techniques, and challenges -- so that testers can learn from one other. FROSST is a series of open space conferences focused on whatever interests those that show up. FROSST conferences are open to anyone interested in software testing.

The open space methodology is governed by one law and four principles.

The Law of Two Feet

If at any time you are not learning or contributing, use your two feet and go to a place you can learn or contribute.

The Four Principles

  • Whoever comes is the right people.
  • Whatever happens is the only thing that could have.
  • Whenever it starts is the right time.
  • When it's over it's over.
